今すごく一押しのイギリス新人バンドです！！カール・バラットのサポートで見ました！！

This is a band I really want to recommend you to have a listen!! I saw them when I went to see Carl Barat.

The Heartbreaks ------ from Morecambe, Lancaster/ Manchester

２００９年結成。７０年代後半から８０年代前半のポップ／パンクミュージックの影響を受け、メロディアスでノスタルジックなサウンドを持ったバンドである。彼らの出身地モアカムは、イギリス内で生活水準が悪い５０の場所の一つに数えられている。しかしバンドは自分たちの音楽を作るには「ロマンチックでインスピレーションを与えてくれる最高の街」と評している。結成して１年あまりであるが、すでに多くのギグを行っている。サポートとしても、Hurts, Jack Pañate, The View, Carl Bratのギグに同行している。

The band was formed in 2009. Influenced by pop music and punk music in late 70s and early 80s, they create melodious and nostalgic sound. Morecambe is regarded as one of worst places to live in the UK, but the band says Morecambe is very romantic and inspirational seaside town to make their music. The Heartbreaks have just started their music career but they have already played lots of gigs and supported Hurts, Jack Pañate, The View and Car Barat.

Mystery Jets

Mystery Jetsのギグに行ってきたよーーーー！！！もぉ最高でした！！

I went to Mystery Jets' gig last night!!! It was amazing!!!!!

ロンドン出身。２００４年に結成。ボーカルのブレインは、もとはドラム担当だったが、キーボード担当のタマラがバンドを去った後、ボーカルとキーボードを担当するようになった。２００５年、ファーストシングル’Zoo Time’をリリースし、２００６年までに多くの楽曲を作成、同年ファーストアルバム、’Making Dens’を発表した。２００８年にセカンドアルバム’Twenty-One’をリリース。現在、今年の７月に発表したサードアルバム’Serotonin’をひっさげ、Serotonin World Tour 2010/11を行っている。

他メンバーは、ウィリアム（G.）、カイ（Ba.）とカピル（Dr.）。またバンドにはブレインの父、ヘンリー（G./Ba.）も参加しているが、ツアーには同行していない。

ブレインは生まれたときから二分脊椎症を患っており、松葉杖なしでは上手く歩くことができない。２００６年にフジロックで来日した際、症状が悪化し、病院での治療を余儀なくされた。その後回復は果たしたが、国外ツアーは延期していた。しかし、今年２０１０年世界ツアーを敢行、来年の１月１１日にまた来日が決定した。ツアー最後のライブ地は日本となっている。

Their UK tour will continue until 18 November, and they are coming to Turkey, New Zealand, Australia and Japan in December and next January! I hope as many of you can go to see them!!!

Rose Elinor Dougall

Mark Ronsonのギグにも参加していた、Rose Elinor Dougallについて、ちょっと紹介します！

イギリス、ブライトン出身。２００３年に、３ピースガールズバンド、The Pipettesを結成。２００７年にはサマーソニックで来日。しかし、２００８年に自身の音楽を追究するため、もう一人のバンドメイトとともにThe Pipettesを脱退。現在はバンド、The Distractionsとともにソロ活動中。２０１０年８月にデビューアルバムをリリース。

From Brighton. Formerly she was known as a member of The Pipettes, but she left the band in 2008 to pursue her own music career. Now she's working on her solo project with The Distractions. Her debut album was released in August 2010. Recently, she also joins Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.

私はThe Pipettes が大好きで、もちろんサマソニも一番前の列でしっかり見ました。しかし２人が去ってしまってすごく残念でした。

でも！こうしてソロ活動を続けてくれてて、ギグで見ることができてほんとによかった！！

こちらの曲もとってもすてき。

I really loved The Pipettes, well I still like them too, but I was so sad when Rose and Becki left the band.

But they are still making great songs and we can see them at gigs! I just saw Rose's new band as support of Mark Ronson. Her music was cool.

ちなみにThe Pipettesのときはこんな感じ。

今のRoseはかっこいいね！！

I still like them, but I like recent Rose too, she's a really cool singer.

豪華ゲストがいっぱいでした！

I went to a gig of Mark Ronson & The Business Intl on 03 Oct. at Leeds!!

It was a really amazing gig!!　There were many guest musicians!!

イギリスのDJ、ソングラーター／プロデューサー。ロンドン出身だが、ニューヨークで育つ。母親（作家）の再婚相手がForeinger のギタリスト、Mick Jonesだったことから、幼い頃からミュージシャンとの交流があった。ショーン・レノンとは１３歳のときから親友。マイケル・ジャクソンの家にもよく遊びに行っていたが、友人に信用されないと思いそのことはずっと内緒にしていたという。２人の妹（双子）Thamansa RonsonはDJ、Charlotte Ronsonはファッションデザイナーと、一家そろってアーティスト。

大学卒業後、DJとして名が知られるようになり、１９９７年からは音楽プロデュースを始める。
